About the author
B.A. Mealer actually started writing while in school but ended up throwing everything away thinking it was dumb sounding. Her only published work was a poem in an educational journal in 1965 submitted by her English teacher. Currently she is writing romance novels but don’t pin her to any particular genre of romance.
In the past she has worked in restaurants as a waitress, a machine shop, along with various factories including sewing Levi Jeans and making fiberglass boats, a psych tech in a mental institution and in a home for mentally handicapped adults. After having four children, she returned to school to become a nurse, a career which lasted 30 years. She retired in 2016 to write full time and travel.
Currently she lives in south Florida and is one of the condo denizens everyone loves to berate. Being from the ‘hippy’ area, she has already created problems by keeping her motorcycle in the parking lot. She is embarking on a yearlong trip of the United States and Canada from Sturgis 2016 using her Harley for transportation and tent camping as living space.
As a member of Romance Writers of America and Florida Romance Writers, she has found the impetus to continue to write, publish and generally have fun in all the genres of romance from the typical boy meets girl to suspense and the urban romance. Expect to see a lot of strong women who aren’t afraid to ride a motorcycle alone and to handle guns as if they are a part of them.
